Even if you possess the highest level of expertise in your field, your poor use of English grammar, spelling, or basic punctuation is at best distracting and at worst leaves a bad impression.

Most mistakes are Proofreading Oversights. Below are mistakes I spotted just this morning in some high-profile blogs:

“…explaining how to improve the security of your servers or how the harden your wordpress installation.”

“Directed by Walter Robot, who say, “This video is totally official…’”

“Carve out as much time during you day for focused work as possible. “

Sure, I understood the message, and I know the writers know better. I also suspect they would correct the mistakes if they noticed them.

Yet they didn’t notice them. A second pair of eyes – belonging to a professional proofreader – would have caught those minor errors.

Some are because English is a second language. Below is some copy I came across; the site belongs to a web design company based in India.

Nowadays website becomes an essential part of every profession. Website makes strong impact on the image of your company. It is very important when you are more concern about exploring your business world wide.

If you are into the business, an owner of small or medium or big company, or a professional or free lancer you need to have your own website for many reasons.
